Glover Texieria replaces Shogun against Rashad Evans in UFC Fight Night Tampa Damon Martin of FOX Sports reported Wednesday that an injury has forced Mauricio”Shogun” Rua off UFC Fight Night Tampa.

Fellow Brazillian Glover Teixeira has be tabbed as the replacement to face Rashad Evans. Teixeira (24-4) is coming off back to back victories over Ovince St-Preux and Patrick Cummins. The 36-year old was slated to combat Evans at UFC Fight Night 61 in February 2015, however he pulled out of the struggle because of a knee injury. Evans (19-4-1) returned to the octagon following two-year layoff and ended up being on the wrong end of a conclusion against Ryan Bader in UFC 192. Also according to Combate, welterweights Omari Akhmedov and Elizeu Zaleski are the most recent addition to the occasion.
