Team Ineos have signed Giro d’Italia champion Richard Carapaz on a deal in the following season.
After winning his first Grand Tour the riders will make the move.
He’ll join a team featuring three Grand Tour champions – Geraint Thomas, Chris Froome and Egan Bernal, who won this year’s Tour de France.
“This really is a great opportunity for me to continue my development and expansion for a rider,” explained Carapaz.
“The group continues to go from strength to strength, year in, year out. I already know a lot of the riders around the team and I am really looking forward to working with everybody at Team Ineos from following year”
After enduring a string of accidents in an accident at the Criterium du Dauphine in June a Tour de France winner, froome, missed this year’s march however the 34-year-old Briton is optimistic of making the group next year in France.
