UFC 230 Fighting Odds – Cormier vs. Lewis MMA Lines

UFC 230 Occurs on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.

Heavyweight winner Daniel Cormier (21-1, 1 NC, 10 KOs, 4 SUBs) will defend his title against knockout artist Derrick Lewis (21-5, 18 KOs, 1 SUBs). The card issuers reside on 10pm ET that is starting.
Just one pay-per-view following the Khabib-McGregor superfight, the UFC is giving us a heavyweight title match. And it just so happens to feature one of UFC 229’s breakout star:”The Dark Beast” himself, Derrick Lewis. It’s 1 matter to score a stunning, last-second comeback win in a fight you were getting dominated. But Lewis topped that by following it up with the funniest post-fight meeting in UFC history, on the biggest night in UFC history.
That’s one way of becoming a star. And now, the one-dimensional knockout artist who never really seemed like a legitimate contender is fighting for the title less than a month after having a beating in the hands of Alexander Volkov. Daniel Cormier’s probably drooling at the thought of an easy paycheck. It is going to also be his first title protection.
Regardless of the UFC declaring a banger of a scrap between middleweight hulks Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa, the massive Cuban has said that the struggle will not be happening. Though we really hope this contest happens, we tend to trust that the fighter when they said that they’re not ready. Let us hope he heals up in time.
If those 185-pounders do not get it on, then there are still three mad good middleweight matchups to look forward to. The biggest of them is a rematch between former champions Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman, respectively ranked No. 2 and No. 3. Perennial contender Ronaldo”Jacare” Souza meets former WSOF champ David Branch, together with the two guys jockeying to get a name position. The branch’s most fascinating prospect, Israel Adesanya, sets his undefeated record on the line against No. 6 Derek Brunson. Occasionally,”The previous Stylebender” resembles the second coming of a prime Anderson Silva, and everyone is expecting that this dude is for real.

UFC 230 Betting Lines, Predictions and Picks
Here is a weird story. In a meeting with MMAJunkie only days following the Volkov struggle, Lewis came out and stated he had no urge to headline UFC 230. That he’d already started eating breakfast snacks and also his cardio was nowhere near the amount it had to be in to realistically challenge for the name.
He finished that interview by reluctantly saying that it’d have a giant paycheck for him to leap right into a title fight with one of the best to ever do it. Later that afternoon, Dana White announced that Lewis will be fighting for the name. Seems like someone got PAID.
Still, the UFC’s greed is showing here. Lewis was almost finished multiple occasions, and it was clear he could not last five rounds. The UFC is putting him on a card less than a month after? That’s called exploiting a star turn. And while we adore how honorable DC is, it sure sounds like he’s cherry picking here.
The last time Weidman and Rockhold met, the AKA surfer boy cracked the former All-American wrestler and took the belt from him. Time has not softened the grudge between the two, and it was a close fight until there. Rockhold has been pumped out twice, indicating that his brow is a severe weakness. Coincidentally, Weidman suffered two brutal knockouts as well before bouncing back against Kelvin Gastelum.
Both these middleweights are good everywhere, although they have different approaches in each stage. Rockhold’s submission grappling is topnotch, but Weidman is a leading traditional wrestler. Weidman can box with the best of these, but Luke’s unorthodox kicks can do significant damage.
Ronaldo Souza can not seem to catch a rest. One of the most accomplished BJJ artists to ever enter the octagon, he has been in multiple title eliminators, only to fall short in each one. Beating David Branch probably wouldn’t seal the deal, but he can keep his title on a short list of worthy challengers. Branch could vault in the title mix by simply taking the well-regarded Brazilian.
Israel Adesanya has what it takes to be a celebrity: an engaging personality and more importantly, an electrical fighting style. He’s clearly a exceptional striker, landing all eight limbs with extraordinary accuracy and electricity. Of course, like all fantastic standup artists, he has to pass the wrestler evaluation, and Derek Brunson – a former collegiate wrestler – is more than capable to dish that out.
